1st Baltic Foot and Ankle Conference

18 September 2026 | Liepaja | Latvia

Dear colleagues, esteemed friends, and all professionals interested in foot and ankle surgery,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the First Baltic Foot and Ankle Conference, which will take place on  18 September 2026 in Liepāja, Latvia.

Liepāja is a beautiful city with a rich cultural and historical heritage, located on the shores of the Baltic Sea and renowned for its white sandy beaches and unforgettable sunrises. The city has also been designated as the European Capital of Culture 2027, making it an inspiring venue for this event.
The primary aim of the conference is to promote the advancement of foot and ankle surgery and to strengthen professional knowledge and collaboration within this field. This event provides an excellent opportunity to bring together specialists from all three Baltic states to share expertise, exchange ideas, and foster a stronger professional community.
By working together, we not only empower ourselves as individual professionals but also reinforce the vital role of the Baltic region in the development of modern orthopaedic and reconstructive surgery. Through shared experience and mutual learning, we enhance our ability to provide better care for our patients.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Liepāja and to continuing this initiative by organising Baltic Foot and Ankle conferences every two years.

With warm regards,

Maris Leitlands, MD (Latvia) | Aleksas Makulavičius, MD (Lithuania) | Dmitri Kulak, MD (Estonia)
